If the buyer fails to meet the terms of the agreement a punitive fee of not less than $1000 or the purchase price of dog must be paid to seller within 1 year of breaking the contract.

Additional terms:
It is understood that the dog is being sold as a companion animal and is not able to be shown in conformation shows or used for breeding.  This dog is being placed/sold with the following marked conditions:

____ This dog is to be neutered by 1 year of age.
____ This dog is not to be shown in conformation events, but may compete in other performance events such as Obedience and Agility
____ Buyer agrees to notify seller of any health problems this dog may develop in its lifetime.

The purchaser agrees to never sell or give this dog to any irresponsible breeder, pet store, commercial pet farm, puppy-mill or similar institution. If buyer is at any time unable or unwilling to keep dog, dog is to be returned to seller or placed in a seller aproved home.  If dog is returned to seller for any reason other than stated in guarantee any refund of purchase price or replacement is at the discretion of seller and will at no time be more than 50% of purchase price. 

Guarantee:
It is understood that at the time of sale this dog is not considered to be of show or breeding potential, but is representative of its breed and structurally and temperamentally suited as a companion and/or competition dog. This dog is guaranteed for ten days, as stated in Pennsylvania’s “Puppy Lemon Law”, and it is recommended that the buyer have the dog examined by a veterinarian during this time period.  If during this time period the buyer believes the dog to be sick, the buyer agrees to return it to the seller, with a letter from the examining licensed veterinarian, and the seller will refund the purchase price.

No other guarantee is given except in the case of a hereditary defect which develops to the extent that it renders the dog unsuitable as a companion or competitive animal. In this instance, a replacement of the seller’s choice, but agreeable to both parties, will be given as soon as one becomes available.  Hereditary defects which shall be included in this guarantee shall be:  Juvenile cataracts or PRA, as diagnosed by a Certified Canine Ophthalmologist;  Hip Displasia, as diagnosed by OFA or Penn Hip;  Thyroid disease, diagnosed by laboratory studies; or heart disease proven to be genetic in nature.  All other inherited disorders will be considered at the discretion of seller.

The seller assumes no responsibility for this dog after leaving the premises; legal issues, medical expenses, landlord’s disapproval, allergy to animals, disagreement of family, or for any other reason, other than stated.
