Additional terms:
It is understood that the dog is being sold as a companion animal and is not able to be shown in conformation
shows or used for breeding. This dog is being placed/sold with the following checked conditions:

__X__ Although this dog is not to be shown in conformation events, it may compete in other performance events such as Obedience and Agility
__X__ Buyer agrees to notify seller of any health problems this dog may develop during its lifetime.
The purchaser agrees to never sell or give this dog to any breeder, pet store, commercial pet farm, puppy-mill or similar institution. If buyer is at any time unable or unwilling to keep dog, dog is to be returned to seller. If dog is returned to seller for any reason other than stated in
guarantee, any refund of purchase price or replacement is at the discretion of seller and will at no time be more than 50% of purchase price.
Guarantee:
It is understood that at the time of sale this dog is not considered to be of show or breeding potential, but is representative of its breed and structurally and temperamentally suited as a companion and/or competition dog. It is recommended that the buyer have the dog examined by a veterinarian within ten days of purchase. If during this time period, the buyer's veterinarian believes the dog to be sick, and therefore unsuitable as a pet, the buyer agrees to return it to the seller, with a letter from the examining licensed veterinarian stating the reason for unsuitableness, and the seller will refund the purchase price. The breeder has the right to have the puppy examined by her own veterinarian.
No other guarantee is given except in the case of a hereditary defect which develops to the extent that it renders the dog unsuitable as a companion. In this instance, a replacement of the seller’s choice, but agreeable to both parties, will be given as soon as one becomes available. Hereditary defects which shall be included in this guarantee shall be: Juvenile cataracts or PRA, as diagnosed by a Certified Canine Ophthalmologist; Hip Displasia, as diagnosed by OFA or Penn Hip, or heart disease proven to be genetic in nature and life-threatening.
It is understood by the purchaser that in owning a Cocker Spaniel, some problems can be inherent in the breed, due to the structure that makes a Cocker a Cocker, such as ear infections and cherry eye. If either of these conditions occur prior to the new owner picking up the puppy, the seller will be responsible for treatment, but if it occurs after pick-up the treatment is the responsibility of the new owner.
The seller assumes no responsibility for this dog after leaving the premises; medical expenses, landlord’s disapproval, allergy to animals, disagreement of family, or for any other reason, other than stated.
